BACA Charities will be providing an opportunity for children with sensory issues to enjoy a fun-filled area at the festival.

BACA Charities will be hosting an activity tent at the 28th Annual Fishers Freedom Festival on Saturday, June 25th, 10:00AM-8:00PM and Sunday, June 26th, 11:00AM-3:30PM and 5:30PM-8:00PM. This will be free of charge to families. Planned activities include water beads, bubbles, a water table, a sand table, a hula hoop obstacle course and more. The activity tent will allow children with special needs an opportunity to experience the Fishers Freedom Festival in a safe environment with workers experienced in serving children with special needs. BACA staff will be on hand to help the children with the activities and make the event a memorable one. The tent will provide a comfortable and low-key setting where children and their families can experience games and activities. “I’m very excited to have BACA Charities involved in this year’s Fishers Freedom Festival,” said Marketing Director Sarah Cox. “Many of our BACA families already have the tradition of attending the event, so BACA Charities’ involvement will not only support those families, but will support the Fishers community as well. Having an area for individuals with special needs will hopefully make even more people feel welcome.” BACA Charities’ mission is to raise resources to support research in the field of ABA (applied behavior analysis) and families who support ABA. The charity supports the provision of ABA services to children with autism, raises awareness and provides education to the public regarding ABA and autism and provides financial assistance to families and communities dealing with the effects of autism.
